They created several golems to serve as their slaves, and wouldn't let them free even after they had requested their freedom. Eventually the golems rebelled, destroying the ancient civilization and its people. Aurora was sealed away in a large block of ice, acting as the Azran Emissary and the guardian of the Azran Sanctuary, guiding those who wish to seek the power of the civilization.
