The dome is filled with inscriptions on the wall, symbolizing locations on Earth and other important information. A pathway covered in moss leads into the middle of the dome, with an archway in place at the end.
Chapter 2: The Mysterious Girl
Professor Layton and the others follow the girl into the dome, and judging by her reaction to it, Professor Sycamore realizes that the dome was an Azran structure, containing a magnetic field that disrupts passing aircraft. The girl then introduces herself as Aurora, the Azran emissary. She then tells them that they must find the Azran keys to prove they are worthy of their power, before collapsing. She then immediately loses her memory, forgetting such things as her name and her role.
The professors investigate the markings on the wall, repeating that they served as a guide. The most recognizable characters known in Azran myths were the Riders of the Sky, to which Aurora recites the story to them. The patterns on the wall represented locations on Earth, and would help them figure out where the keys to unlock the Azran's power were. Layton sees an egg-shaped inscription on the wall, with Aurora telling him it was known as an Aura Stone, which channels the power of the Azran and serves as the keys. Layton figured that if they were to collect all of the eggs, Aurora would be able to regain her memory, which would be vital to their plan and why Targent are after her. They decide they must leave town quickly, and make an escape.
Chapter 5: Into the Nest
The group return to the dome after they discover one of the Aura Stones was a fake, and so must relocate the fifth egg. Aurora points out the location, with Professor Sycamore realizing it was being held at The Nest, Targent's headquarters. The group knew they would have to keep their senses sharp, as it would be a dangerous operation to infiltrate their base.
