|Baron Augustus Reinhold|
|Relations|| Flora Reinhold|
Baron Augustus Reinhold is a primary character in Professor Layton and the Curious Village, and although he never physically appears in-game he is vital to the plot.
The Baron's health was failing and he wanted his daughter, Flora, to be able to grow up in a place where was would never be lonely. He enlisted the help of Bruno, who had already made him several robots, to set about building an entire village full of robots. This village became known as St. Mystere. The Baron soon passed away, but not before placing many puzzles in the village so that only a clever puzzle-solver could prove himself or herself worthy of becoming Flora's new guardian and acquiring the Reinhold fortune. This guardian is revealed to be Professor Layton, who successfully solves all of the puzzles placed in his way.
The Baron had intended for the entire village to shut down once his secret fortune was touched. However, Flora decided to leave it as it was so that her "family" could remain functional.
"The late Baron Reinhold created St. Mystere and all its inhabitants for his daughter Flora. His love for Flora was so great, he devised an elaborate scheme to ensure that she wouldn't be alone after his death."
