Esther wears a dark green dress over a red long sleeved shirt. She also wears brown shoes, glasses, and her grey hair up in a bun.
Esther gives you the following puzzles in Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask:
Chapter 2: The Secret of Norwell
Hershel Layton enters Pebble Lane in the hopes of finding Roland, so he asks Esther if she had seen him. Unfortunately she hadn't, but asks him to help her out with a puzzle. She tells him if she saw Roland around, she would be sure to tell him.
Chapter 3: The Battle of Monte d'Or
Professor Layton recognizes Esther while heading for Carnival Square, and asks if she was on holiday. She moved to Monte d'Or five years ago, but misses the quietness of Stansbury, which has now turned into a lonely, desolate town, with only a handful of residents still living there. She assumed that Emmy was his wife, and Luke and the missing child Cookie were his children, however he dismissed these.
Chapter 4: Angela's Tears
As Hershel Layton, Randall Ascot and Angela are sneaking off to the Wall of Norwell, they encounter Esther, who was having trouble with ladybirds chewing holes through her corn cobs. Afterwards, she tells the group not to stay out too late, as the nights were starting to get cold.
Chapter 5: Miracles Unmasked
Esther had heard about Alphonse Dalston being arrested, and she expresses her concern to Professor Layton that the police have it wrong, as he wouldn't hurt a fly. Layton agreed with her, and tells her they were gathering evidence to clear his name, after she says she would go down to the City Hall to tell them they had it wrong. She tells Layton she would keep an eye out for the real criminal, seeing as the police couldn't seem to do their job.
In a special episode, Esther meets Firth, who tells her he had come to Monte d'Or to search for a friend he had been looking after for 18 years. He had suddenly left his home in Craggy Dale two months prior, and so Firth came to Monte d'Or in the hopes of finding him. The two introduce themselves, and Esther invites Firth for tea and pastries.
Chapter 7: The Reunion Inn
Esther asks Professor Layton is he was to stick around after the case was finished, however he couldn't as he had his seminars at Gressenheller University to turn up to. She then goes on to say that when Henry Ledore was released from the Ascot household, he spent a lot of time studying archaeology and Norwell. Esther notes that the Masked Gentleman must have a background in archaeology seeing as he knew about the Mask Of Chaos, and Layton says how the field is enticing.
"A former resident of Stansbury, Esther is still the same spritely old woman that Layton remembers from his youth, though she may be a little nosier. Her glasses were a present from her eldest son, and she holds them very dear."
