The Grand Stage is a location based in Phong Gi, seen in the game Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy. It is where the village's annual festival is held, and is used for holding performances for Chief Morel.
The area consists of a large stage, with torches lighting the area. The chief's vibrantly colored throne is placed at the back of the stage, and seating is placed on either sides of the stage, decorated with large leaves behind them. The area is surrounded by tall trees and greenery.
Chapter 4: The Hunt for the Eggs
Professor Layton and the group arrive at the Grand Stage, to find a traditional festival was taking place. They observe Chestnut as he tries to make the village chief, Morel, laugh, to no avail. The group speculate that the festival may have something to do with the Aura Stone, and so they decide to speak with the chief. Blewitt, however, does not allow them to skip the queue, until he hears that Amanita had directed them to the stage. Layton and Luke proceed to give the chief a performance, with still not much as a grin. Professor Sycamore then attempts to make the chief laugh by telling him a joke, however he seemed more interested in his cologne. The group leave the area to brainstorm.
They soon return to the area after gathering supplies for Layton's idea. Chanterelle, Chestnut, and Blewitt all help to create the "mask" that Layton had in mind, and ask for the chief to place them on. He soon began to laugh, and the villagers soon realize that he was blind and needed glasses. Layton had caught on to his blindness when he did not react to his and Luke's performance, but did to Professor Sycamore's, and states that the chief was able to get around the village due to his great sense of smell. Chief Morel gives his aura stone to the group, and invites them to return to the village when they like.
