Occupation Apprentice to Professor Layton

Luke Triton (Assistant Luke) is the self proclaimed apprentice of Professor Layton, and acts as the deuteragonist in the Professor Layton Series. Luke travels with Layton along with Flora Reinhold in the first trilogy, and with Emmy Altava in the prequel trilogy. He is the son of Clark Triton, the Mayor of Misthallery, and Brenda Triton, and is a good friend of the Professor.

Professor Layton and the Luke have their first encounter during the events of Professor Layton and the Last Specter. Luke also meets his future self in Professor Layton and the Unwound Future (Although he is later revealed to be Clive). He seems to like Flora a lot, shown through his need to rescue her when she gets kidnapped.

[edit] Appearance

Luke wears a blue flat cap under his light brown hair. He also wears a blue sweater, with a white undershirt, and also wears dark brown shorts. He also carries a brown satchel. In Professor Layton and the Last Specter, he wears a long-sleeved white shirt with red buttons. He also has black suspenders. He is known to look a lot like his mother, Brenda.

[edit] Personality

Luke is generally a sensible young boy who has the ability to talk to animals, as well as being able to understand them in return. Much like his mentor, Hershel Layton, Luke has a knack for solving puzzles. Luke is in the midst of learning to become a gentleman, though he may sometimes lose his temper, only to feel ashamed when the Professor has to calm him down. Similarly to Professor Layton, Luke is rarely shown without his hat. In fact, the only times you will see Luke without his hat is during the credits of Professor Layton and the Unwound Future, in a cutscene of Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, and during Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva.
