[edit] Hints

Hint One
The character that looks a bit like a C represents the number 8.

With this in mind, can you work out the pattern?

Hint Two
The character that looks a bit like a B represents the number 7.

By the way, there's no relationship between the alphabet and the numbers. It's just a coincidence that these characters look like letters of the alphabet.

Hint Three
The Δ character represents the number 3.

Look closely at the shapes used to represent 3, 7, and 8. If you spot the pattern, it will be easy to work out what the other characters are.

Super Hint
The number of sides a character has tells you what number it represents.

Now the puzzle is just a question of arithmetic.

[edit] When Failed

Too bad.

The people of the ancient civilization didn't just create the characters at random. There's a logical connection between each character and the number it represents.

[edit] When Completed

The answer looks a bit like CB and stands for 87, as shown above.

The number each character represents is actually the number of sides it has!

[edit] Solution

Place the characters as shown.

[edit] Progress

2470 Picarats and 157 Hint Coins.
