The Dragonlord's Altar is a location based in Hoogland, seen in the game Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy. It is located inside Hoogland's chapel, where brides are locked up after they are married to the Dragonlord.
The room consists of an altar in the center of the room, with the head of a dragon protruding from it. Stools are placed on either side of the altar, while a throne sits behind it. The walls are lined with what appears to be vents, being of Azran technology which controls the winds in the area. The entrance to the chapel leads out to the left of the room.
Chapter 4: The Hunt for the Eggs
Professor Layton and the group finally find their way into the chapel, with Professor Sycamore noting that the chapel was indeed an Azran structure. The group locate Romilda, asking her to accompany them out of the chapel. She refuses to leave however, as she had planned to leave her dead body in the chapel to prove that the Dragonlord didn't care for the village's human offerings, and in the hope it would bring a stop to the custom. With anger, Julien pulls out his spade in an attempt to attack the idol, however the Azran technology draws his spade to the wall. Aurora explains that the purpose was to let those who wish to harm the Azran know that their efforts would be in vain. Finally piecing everything together, Layton lets Romilda and Julien know that he would bring an end to the Dragonlord's wrath, as the answer lay in the altar.
Layton and Sycamore come to the conclusion that the Azran structure was used to manipulate the wind currents in the area, and at present it was imbalanced, causing whirlwinds in the area. Aurora notes that the harmony in the area had been disrupted, and together they fix the device. Once balance is restored, the Aura Stone appears in the idol's mouth, as Aurora takes it. Romilda speculates that she was the Dragonlord's messenger, as the group decides to head back to the surface.
