Layton's Mystery Journey
|Other Names|| Nanna Grams|
|Occupation||Owner of Granny Riddleton's Puzzle Shack|
Granny Riddleton is an elderly woman who has an exceptional ability to find puzzles you have missed or ones that can't be found by talking to people. Granny Riddleton is a creation of Bruno who appears in Professor Layton and the Curious Village, and although she appears in Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box she isn't a robot and explains that she has a female doppelganger. In Professor Layton and the Unwound Future she states that she is too old to continue the shack and is retiring leaving Beasly in charge, but he is soon replaced with Puzzlette, Granny Riddleton's granddaughter. She is seen briefly in Professor Layton and the Last Specter, but goes on vacation to leave her puzzle keeping to her cat Keats. In Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, she goes by the name Nana Grams (or Elizabeth in the UK version), returning to her puzzle keeping. In Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy, she briefly appears to request Emmy Altava to take care of her cat Keats.
Granny Riddleton has a different set of clothes, mostly varying in colour, in each game. In Professor Layton and the Curious Village, she is seen wearing a blue hat that looks somewhat like a witch's hat, with an orange piece of ribbon that goes around it. She wears an orange shirt, with a blue skirt. She also wears matching blue shoes. In Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box, she wears the same set of clothes, but instead of the orange in her outfit, she wears pink. She also wears red stockings in this game. In Professor Layton and the Unwound Future, she wears the same clothes, however she wears a red hat with a green piece of ribbon, and a green shirt. She also wears a purple dress with green stockings and red shoes. She wears the same outfit in Professor Layton and the Last Specter and Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask as she did in Curious Village, however in Miracle Mask she also wears a white butterfly mask, as to hide her identity.
Chapter 3: The Battle of Monte d'Or
Upon first entering the Dromedary Hotel, Professor Layton and the group notice a familiar looking shack in the corner of the lobby. They then find out the next day that the shack, or "palace", belonged to Granny Riddleton, however she assumes the name "Nana Grams". She tells the group that they can visit her shack for any puzzles they have missed along the way, and she stays here for the remainder of the game.
